The park itself is centred around Tudor Rose House, a five-bedroom 16th century Grade II listed building once owned by King Henry VIII and listed in the Domesday Book.
The park is also a gateway to some of the most spectacular countryside in Britain, with the beautiful Cranborne Chase, historic New Forest, and Hardy Country all on its doorstep. Located on the edge of the International Dark Sky Reserve, the park offers a front-row seat to the awe-inspiring beauty of the Cranborne Chase National Landscape. With fun-filled facilities in open spaces throughout the park, the whole family is sure to enjoy a getaway at Wilksworth.
Enjoy the great outdoors with our full-size and junior-size tennis court, outdoor table tennis and dog exercise paddock. The superb heated outdoor swimming pool, complete with a shallow splash pool for our younger guests, is open during the main summer months from the 25 May and can be enjoyed 7 days a week during school holidays and outside of school holidays, the pool will be open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday (all weather permitting). The pool closes on 01 September 2024.
The park's shared shower and toilet blocks are open, however, we advise that you make use of your own 'on board' facilities where possible. Throughout the season we welcome fantastic street food vendors on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Our accommodation at Wilksworth Caravan Park is ideal for anyone looking for a tranquil escape, from couples to families, we have something to suit everyone, even the dog is welcome with our pet friendly options.
Wilksworth is a gateway to some of the most scenic countryside in Britain meaning the park offers a serene peaceful retreat for a getaway. Stay in one of our luxury self-catering caravans, a 3 bed pet friendly Sensation or one of our 2 bed Sublime caravans.
Featuring wide green lawns framed with trees, the well-spaced grass, hardstanding & executive pitches and luxurious shepherd huts offer uninterrupted views of the rolling Dorset countryside.
Our touring and camping pitch price includes up to 6 people (max), one car (max) and either a tent, caravan or motor home with standard awning. we have shared shower and toilet blocks at our campsites, we do however advise that you make use of your own 'on board' facilities in your motorhome or tourer as much as possible where available.
Our 2 stunning handmade shepherd huts 'Baa One' and 'Baa None' sleep 2 people and are fully fitted with a pull-down wall bed, kitchen, wood burner and shower room with toilet.

Featuring a mixture of traditional and modern features, plus a luxurious hot tub in the private walled garden, it makes the ideal place to retreat to. All Wilksworth guests are welcome to use the facilities at our sister park, Oakdene Forest Park, just a 20-minute drive away.
We are currently not issuing physical passes, however, you simply need to show your booking confirmation or proof of your stay at Wilksworth to gain entry to the facilities across any of our parks, all included as part of your holiday with us. It’s a great campsite with lots for the children to do. Lovely park, pool and a nice secure paddock for the dog to play in. Showers and toilets were clean and tidy. What more can you ask for! A cracking little street food burger van came on the Tuesday and served homemade and superb tasting food.

A hidden gem!
What a hidden gem! Just outside Wimborne which is a walkable distance. The site is well maintained & has all the facilities you need, as well as an open air heated pool from June. Great for just a weekend or longer.

Great campsite!
Enjoyable stay at this campsite. The WiFi is handy & quick. Hook up and hard standing pitches if you need them which is good. Showers and toilet block were decent. Staff were very friendly. Didn’t get to use the pool but a great added bonus I would imagine!

Lovely campsite. Extremely friendly welcoming staff. The best site we have visited for children’s play areas. Play park, table tennis, football pitch, volley ball pitch, basketball, tennis court, BMX area and the most fab swimming pool area. Well positioned site to visit local attractions.

A lovely site
A lovely site with lots of pitches, and very nice facilities! The reception team are lovely and helpful. The outdoor pool was quite chilly, but we did pick a chilly weekend to stay! We took advantage of booking when there was a special offer, although would be happy to pay full price to stay again!

What are your check-in and check-out times for touring and camping?
Check-in is from 12 NOON on the day of arrival, and check-out is at 11AM on the day of departure.
When does the outdoor swimming pool open?
The outdoor pools across all our parks open from Saturday 25th May 2024 and their opening is subject to park specific opening times and is weather dependent.
We have outdoor swimming pools at Shorefield Country Park, Oakdene Forest Park and Wilksworth Caravan Park. To check specific opening times for a particular park, please give the park's reception a call.
At Shorefield Country Park, we allow entry to 15 people every 15 minutes for a 1 hour swim session. The last hour swim session is 4:45 – 5:45, with last entry at 5:00pm for a 45 minute session.
Please make sure that you have park passes or individual QR codes ready to be shown on entry.
What is included in the pitch price?
At Shorefield Holidays we have a simplified pricing structure for touring and camping. Pitch price includes up to six people; one car; one tent, caravan or motorhome with awning and all the leisure and entertainment facilities at any of our parks. There are additional charges for pets, extra cars, pup tents and gazebos. We do not charge extra for the unlimited hot water in the showers.
Please note that we do not allow more than one tent or tourer on each pitch. You will need to book one pitch for each tent, caravan or motorhome.
What is “electric hook-up”?
An electric hook-up allows access to electricity on a serviced pitch. It is a specialist unit available from most reputable camping and caravan outlets for around £50 – £70 and is not a standard domestic extension lead.
We recommend that you have a minimum length of electrical cable of 25m, as some of our pitches around park will require the full 25m.
The voltage at our parks is generally 16 amp on hardstanding pitches and 10 amp on grass.
Are your holiday parks pet friendly?
Yes, all our parks are pet friendly and welcome well behaved pets in designated pet-friendly accommodation. Just add your pet(s) to your booking when you search. We do request that dogs are kept on a lead at all times whilst on the park. If you specifically require pet free accommodation it is best to call our Reservations Team directly on 01590 648333.
