COVID-19 Updates

Updated: 10th July 2020 - Welcome back Ambassadors! Our holiday parks are now open to owners and we're excited to welcome you back to your happy place.

Facilities reopening
- Following the latest Government announcement, we're thrilled that our gyms, Reflections Day spa and indoor swimming pools will reopen on Saturday 25th July! We're delighted to be able to reopen our outdoor swimming pools across our parks even earlier and these will be open from Friday 17th July 2020. It is likely that these facilities will operate on a booking service to ensure that we can monitor and control numbers. More details on this to come!

The Government has also provided clarity on the regulations for bar and restaurant facilities. We can therefore confirm that the following are already open (from the 4th July), all with social distancing measures in place:

For your safety and following Government advice, we regret that closures will therefore apply for our entertainment, Go Active+ and Oakdene's Escape Room until further notice.

2020 Ambassador Events -In light of the situation surrounding Coronavirus, we have sadly taken the difficult decision to cancel all our 2020 Ambassadors Events across our parks, including the closing party. This is for your wellbeing as well as that of our teams in such difficult and uncertain times. If you have paid in advance for any of our owners events, you will receive a credit against your account that can be used in future.

Need to reach us? Please use our LIVE chat function on these pages, where you can speak with the Guest Experience team, ask them any questions you may have or alert us of any problems from the comfort of your own holiday home. Nothing is too much trouble, you just need to ask. They will be available 09:00 - 17:00 and up until 19:00 on arrival days. You can still leave them a message out of hours and they will get back to you as soon as they can!

Dining & Delivery

Introducing our brand new dining and delivery system. Whilst our operations may be a little different to normal, you can still enjoy a 'socially distanced' table service inside, or a spot of Al Fresco wining and dining when the sun is shining. Or if you don’t want to venture out, take advantage of our delivery service straight to your holiday home.

Our new full table service allows you to order food and drinks directly to your safely spaced dining table at Shorefield Country Park and Oakdene Forest Park inside and outside. So no queuing and more importantly, no contact.

Park Opening Dates

All our parks have a maximum 10 and a half to 11 month season.

This means we are closed in January and therefore you are unable to stay overnight in your holiday home during this period. You can visit your home during 'working hours' (10am-4pm) to carry out any maintenance. Here is a reminder of each park's opening dates...

  • Oakdene Forest Park: Open from 1st February to 1st January
  • Forest Edge Holiday Park: Open from 5th February to 5th January
  • New Forest Lodge Retreat: Open from 10th February to 5th January
  • Shorefield Country Park: Open from 10th February to 5th January
  • Swanage Coastal Park: Open from 1st March to 5th January

General FAQ's

My circumstances have changed this year and I need help with covering the yearly running costs, what are my options?

We have a fully managed sublet service that can help with this, we cannot guarantee with how often we can sublet your holiday home out, but your best chances to help with this would be to give us as many peak periods like Easter, school summer holidays to give you the best chance. Our charge for this is 25% of the holiday price, plus VAT. Our Reservations team will be happy to help you can contact them on 01590 648333.

I have seen online that you have different holiday parks that I may prefer to be on, how can I move to another one of Shorefield Holidays parks?

We have many of our Ambassadors enquire about moving holiday parks within our group for various reasons, please contact your on-park ownership team to help.

We may need to look at selling our holiday home, what are my options?

You have various options to you, the best option to get the most back will be to sell your holiday home privately, this may take longer but will get you back the highest value for your holiday home as customers like yourself are buying not only the holiday home but also the lifestyle you brought into, we do have first refusal on the sale price to match your figure after the transfer fee, so please bear this in mind. the 2nd option is to look at selling your holiday home offsite, there are many traders out there that you can arrange to visit your holiday home and quote you a price, you then need to let the park know who can arrange to send you out a ‘Owner removal form’ and give you an idea of disconnection costs, which can vary depending on if you have a veranda. Lastly, we could look to offer you a buy-in price, which will not involve any disconnection costs or commission, we will just arrange with the accounts team to raise any final bills that are due.

How can I move pitches?

If you see another plot on park that you, and thinking about possibly upgrading, please speak to your on park holiday home ownership team who can give you details on how upgrading your holiday home can also give you options on relocating plot.
