Planned Electrical Shutdowns at Oakdene Forest Park

As part of our ongoing electrical maintenance programme, essential preventative repair works will take place at Oakdene Forest Park from Monday 28 September to Friday 2 October. Short power shutdowns of around 15 minutes will affect approximately 10 units at a time.

Dear Oakdene Ambassador,

As part of our ongoing electrical testing, inspection and maintenance programme at Oakdene Forest Park, we need to carry out some preventative repair work identified during recent electrical tests.

These essential works are being carried out to help prevent any unexpected electrical faults or disruption to power supplies within the park in the future.

Planned electrical shutdowns:

There will be a number of short, planned electrical shutdowns across Oakdene Forest Park from Monday 28th September to Friday 2nd October.

The mini shutdowns will affect approximately 10 units at a time, and we don’t anticipate that they will last for more than 15 minutes per area.

The works will be carried out by our contractors: Garnett Electrical, who will be wearing Shorefield Visitor lanyards so they can be easily identified.

Before your area is affected, Garnett Electrical will visit any occupied holiday homes to check that the timing is convenient. If it isn’t, they will arrange a suitable time to return.

We appreciate that even a short interruption to the power supply can be inconvenient and apologise for any disturbance this may cause. By carrying out this planned preventative work now, we hope to reduce the risk of unexpected faults or outages in the future.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation while these essential works are carried out at Oakdene Forest Park.

Kind regards,
Brett Turner
Project Manager Administration
