Dear Shorefield Holidays Ambassadors,

Here are 10 DIY Hacks That Actually Work for you to try at home or in your holiday homes.

1.Use a rubber band to remove stripped screws

Place a wide rubber band between the screwdriver and damaged screw head for extra grip.

2.Unclog a shower head with vinegar

Fill a bag with white vinegar, tie it around the shower head, leave overnight, then rinse.

3.Hang pictures perfectly with toothpaste

Dab toothpaste on the back of the frame hooks, press against the wall, and drill where the marks appear.

4.Stop drawers sticking with a candle

Rub a candle or bar of soap along the runners to help drawers slide smoothly.

5.Use a tennis ball as a tool holder

Cut a slit in a tennis ball and attach it to a wall for storing small tools, keys, or pens.

6.Revive rusty tools

Soak rusty tools in white vinegar for several hours, scrub with steel wool, then oil lightly.

7.Keep screws and nails handy while working

Stick a magnet to your wristband or use a magnetic strip on a ladder to stop hardware falling out of your pockets.

8.Prevent paint drips

Wrap an elastic band around an open paint tin and wipe excess paint from the brush onto the band.

9.Use binder clips for cable management

Clip them to the edge of a desk and thread charging cables through the handles.

10.Remove furniture dents from carpet

Place ice cubes on the dent, let them melt, then fluff the carpet fibres with a fork.
