Book a draindown with Glycol check and reconnection from £158. Glycol is the antifreeze that protects your boiler and heating system during the winter months therefore maintaining the correct level of Glycol in the system is key to protecting your system. Our Estates team always carry out a Glycol check as part of their draindown service and this will consist of one of our engineers attending your Holiday Home to check the level in the heating system.
Please note the heating system does not get drained down and remains full during the winter period, only the hot & cold water systems are drained. When draining your hot and cold water system we blow through all supply pipework to ensure the pipes are empty, remove and drain any shower thermostatic valves to prevent water freezing in these and causing damage as well as adding antifreeze to toilets and all waste outlets such as shower trays and sinks (other providers may not offer all of these services). Following a draindown or reconnection all boilers will be left on frost stat setting by default.
