Just some of our favourite courses around our parks

Barton on Sea Golf Club - Founded in 1897 and situated on the coastal cliff between Highcliffe and Milford-on-Sea. The current 27 holes are a combination of the original Harry Colt design from 1932, and the newer holes designed by the well-known J. Hamilton Stutt, a founder member of the Association of British Golf Course Architects which were completed in 1992. Barton-on-Sea is also able to boast a superb, newly refurbished clubhouse, nestled next to the lake and an island green (one of the highlights of the course), which offers commanding views across the Solent to the Needles on the Isle of Wight, along to Old Harry Rocks at Swanage.

Isle of Purbeck - The Purbeck Championship course proves an exciting test for even the most accomplished golfer. The Club dates back to 1892 and among the past owners who were responsible for the extension to 27 holes were Enid Blyton, the legendary writer of children's books and her husband Dr Darrell-Waters. The courses are built on heathland and are set within a nature reserve where many rare plants can be seen as well as rare birds.

A scenic view of a golf course at sunset, featuring rolling green hills and a colorful sky. In the foreground, a well-manicured lawn leads to a club building with large windows, and a vibrant bush adds a splash of color. The horizon shows distant trees and hills.

Burley Golf Club – Founded in 1905 and situated in the heart of the New Forest, in the village of Burley, the location of the course is stunning, with wonderful views across the historic New Forest heathland and with many of the local animals visible at all times. The course is essentially a 9-hole course but with different tees for the first and second 9 holes and has remained almost unchanged in 100 years. The challenge is quite different for each half of the round.

Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club - Situated on the southern edge of the New Forest, the Harry Colt-designed course opened for play in 1919 and offers a great test of golf in the tranquillity of the New Forest. Well-groomed fairways and greens keep Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club difficult yet friendly. Regarded as one of the premier golf courses on the south coast of Hampshire for both the quality of the golf course and its’ natural forest setting it is currently placed at 149 in Today’s Golfer & Golf Monthly’s Top 200 courses in England.

Knighton Heath Golf Club - A genuine heathland course situated on 90 acres of high ground beside Canford Heath offering a great place to play golf in Dorset. You will need to plot your way around the course which is heavily tree-lined with some narrow fairways. The greens are in superb condition, and the course presents an excellent test of golf for players of all standards.
