Shorefield Holidays Acquires Seventh Holiday Park

Shorefield Holidays already owns six parks across Hampshire and Dorset and their latest acquisition of Kelston Holiday Park is part of continuing growth plans for this successful holiday park company.

Shorefield Holidays Ltd has acquired a new holiday park on the edge of the New Forest, in a strategic move for the business.

The new park is on the doorstep of the beach at Milford-on-Sea, from the beach are the iconic views over the sailing waters of the Solent to chalk ridges of The Needles and the Isle of Wight.

It’s also on the edge of the New Forest National Park with its ancient, wild landscape and roaming ponies, and adjacent to the firm’s long-established Shorefield Country Park.

As one of the leading family-run holiday park businesses in the UK, established in 1958, Shorefield Holidays is an expert in great British breaks.

Now offering seven parks to holiday makers and holiday home owners, each with their own USPs that appeal to various markets, the company is a growing, forward-thinking business for the 21st century.

Simon Pollock, Chairman and Managing Director of Shorefield Holiday states: “The acquisition of Kelston Holiday Park is part of our strategy for growth. The rising popularity of the staycation and families purchasing holiday homes as a long-term cost-cutting move, together with our desire to ‘make every weekend a holiday’, remains a key development area for the business moving forward.”

The park will now undergo a significant redevelopment to create a luxury boutique lodge park.

Work will commence immediately with the aim for the park to be open to join the celebrations of Shorefield Holidays' 60th anniversary in 2018.
