Shorefield Holidays Ltd is one of the South Coasts leading holiday park groups and we have a fabulous opportunity to join our team as a Trainee ICT Support Technician.

Shorefield Holidays is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Trainee ICT Support Technician to join our ICT team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting, maintaining, and improving technology services across our business while ensuring colleagues receive the highest level of technical support.

As a trainee role, in-house training will be provided, offering you the opportunity to develop your technical skills and build a career in IT. You will also be supported to work towards recognised professional qualifications, such as CompTIA A+ and Microsoft Fundamentals certifications.

Working closely with the ICT Support Manager, Chief Technical Officer, and other members of the ICT team, you will provide first and second-line support, contribute to technology projects, and help deliver reliable, cost-effective ICT solutions across the organisation.

Starting salary: £24,851.23 p/a - working 37.5 hours per week over 5 days. Salary will increase to £26,160.06 p/a subject to joining the on call rota.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as a key point of contact for ICT support across the business, providing first and second-line technical assistance.

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, system and network issues, ensuring high levels of customer service and timely issue resolution.

  • Support the maintenance, monitoring and optimisation of ICT infrastructure, systems and business applications.

  • Assist with software deployments, system upgrades, technology projects and the implementation of new ICT solutions.

  • Provide user training, guidance and documentation to promote the effective use of ICT systems.

  • Contribute to system administration, performance monitoring and business continuity activities.

  • Support the continuous improvement of ICT services, helping to deliver reliable, secure and cost-effective technology solutions across the organisation.

  • Participate in a rota for out-of-hours ICT support (after successful passing of probation).

Qualifications

Qualifications required

  • Full driving licence and vehicle to travel between sites.

  • Minimum GCSE grade 4 (old grade C) in Maths and English.
