May Bank Holiday Weekend at Shorefield & Oakdene Parks

Non-stop entertainment, family fun, and unforgettable evenings across both parks this May Bank Holiday.

Shorefield Holidays

A family enjoys a game of mini-golf outdoors. A boy in sunglasses takes a shot while a woman and two others watch and cheer nearby. Surrounding the course are tall trees and a green fence.

There’s something special about a May Bank Holiday — longer days, lighter evenings, and more time to enjoy everything on park. Whether you’re staying at Shorefield Country Park or Oakdene Forest Park, this year’s Bank Holiday weekend is packed with entertainment, activities, and plenty of ways to relax or join in the fun.

Make the Most of Your Days

Across both parks, the daytime programme is full of variety. If you’re feeling creative, head to Woof’s Workshop or join activities like Sand Art, Fluid Bearz, Klingz, or Build a Bestie. There are also interactive science sessions for curious minds, alongside energetic activities like Nerf Warz, Cheerleading, Panna Soccer, Aqua Paddlers, and Water Walkers.

Younger guests can enjoy gentle, imaginative sessions designed just for them, while grown-ups can take some time out with relaxing Paint & Sip experiences. On Sunday, Oakdene’s “Super Sunday – Go Active” brings even more high-energy fun, including Go Juniors, Barnyard Buddies, and Escape Rooms.

To avoid missing out, we recommend booking activities in advance:

Family Favourites & On-Park Fun

Alongside the main activities, you’ll find plenty of returning favourites across the parks. From 18+ Bingo and family music bingo to interactive games, party dances, and character meet-and-greets, there’s always something happening — day and night.

Evenings That Bring the Energy

As the sun sets, both parks come alive with unforgettable evening entertainment.

Friday Night Highlights (Friday 1st May)
Kick off the weekend at Shorefield with That’s Country To Me! — a lively celebration of modern country music filled with big hits and dancefloor energy. Over at Oakdene, enjoy a high-energy Jacksons tribute show to start the weekend on a high note.

Saturday Night Spectacular (Saturday 2nd May)
Saturday keeps the momentum going with something for everyone. At Shorefield, enjoy the classic pantomime Cinderella, packed with laughs, music, and family fun, followed by Maximum Robbie bringing huge singalong hits and a buzzing party atmosphere.

At Oakdene, the Big Night Out Party Band takes centre stage, alongside interactive fun like the Big Saturday Showdown (Cyril vs Cybil), ensuring a lively night for all.

Sunday – A Feel-Good Finale (Sunday 3rd May)
Sunday brings a slightly more relaxed pace, without losing the fun. Shorefield hosts Jack in the Box Family Magic, followed by live music from Emily, Jessie & Grace — the perfect way to unwind with great vocals and a feel-good atmosphere.

At Oakdene, the finale includes Cinderella Pantomime, followed by Let’s Glow Crazy and Let’s Go Round Again, ending the weekend with music, colour, and celebration.

A performer dressed in a white jumpsuit leaps above a microphone stand on stage, with colorful lights and a drum set in the background. The scene captures dynamic energy and excitement during a live music performance.
