The sun is starting to shine through and the days are getting longer, that means summer is just around the corner...So let's get right to it, here's our top festivals and events across Dorset & Hampshire this summer!

Purbeck Arts Week Festival - 25th May – 9th June

Explore the amazing array of Open Studios and the huge range of artistic riches around the beautiful Purbecks, from painting, photography and sculpture to ceramics, prints and mosaics, wood work, digital art and much more.

Christchurch Food Festival - 25th – 27th May

A festival to celebrate all things food! Located on the side of Christchurch Quay in a picturesque location you can enjoy a bite to eat and watch live cooking classes and bands amongst many, many food stalls.

Dogstival - 1st – 3rd June

Dogstival returns for 2024 and is packed full of canine approved entertainment, with arena displays, heaps of ‘have a go’ activities with flyball, agility, the Barkour adventure playground and giant splash pools for dogs that love water. There’s great live music, bonkers street performers and a vintage funfair to keep humans happy across the weekend.

Swanage Fairy Festival - 1st – 3rd June

Prepare to be mesmerized by the spectacular live mermaid show, spellbound by the enchanting fairies, pillaging pirates and super strong super heroes that will come to life over three days in June half term in Swanage.

Family Fest - 1st – 2nd June

Wimborne’s biggest and best family festival is back and kicking off the summer celebrations in style. Two fun packed days of live music and entertainment, fabulous local food, bars, charity dog shows and lots more.

Wimborne Minister Folk Festival - 7th – 9th June

One of the UK's most beloved folk festivals. The beautiful, historic town of Wimborne Minster plays host to music, dancing and so much more.

Highcliffe Food & Arts Festival - 8th – 9th June

Set across both the high street of Highcliffe and the Recreation Ground, the festival is a celebration of the finest local produce, crafts and cooking. Look out for artisan stalls, fabulous street food, celebrity chefs, demonstrations, live music, children’s entertainment and activities.

Swanage Fish Festival - 15th – 16th June

Free entertainment for the whole family with sumptuous food, drinks and fishy crafts. There will be stalls offering a huge variety of fish, cockles, mussels, scallops, oysters and of course, champagne.

New Forest Folk Festival - 3rd – 7th July:

The small festival with a big line up, the New Forest Folk Festival is a 5 day small camping festival run by Nick, Keith, Helen and their families on their own farm.

Lymington Seafood Festival - 12th – 14th July

A decadent festival of delicacies, featuring around 300 different seafood specialities from around the coastlines of The New Forest. It’s usually a popular event and this lovely little Georgian market town was planned long before cars came to be – so it might be a good idea to plan your travel without a car. Luckily, the X1 bus runs from just outside Shorefield Country Park to Lymington saving you the hassle of parking and navigating those tight cobbled streets! There’ll be top chefs, live music and entertainment for everyone!

Christchurch Music Festival - 19th – 21st July

The ultimate summer weekend for the whole family, on Christchurch Quay. Three days of non-stop music and entertainment.

The New Forest Show - 30th July – 1st August

The New Forest & Hampshire County Show is an annual three day agricultural Show held at the end of July, attracting around 95,000 visitors over the duration. A full range of equestrian, livestock including cattle and sheep, plus a poultry section, rabbits, cage birds will all be there. Wander around the fantastic trade stands, pick up treats for your dogs, brilliant equipment for your horses, clothes & accessories, homeware and some of our delicious local food and drink!

This year we will be there showcasing one of our brand new residential units, come and say hello and see for yourself what it could be like to own a Shorefield residential home.

New Forest Food Festival - 17th – 18th August

Rich in local produce, artisan foodies and makers, internationally-renowned chefs and restaurants, unique skills and intricate crafts – this is the fantastic New Forest. And we’re bringing it all together across one fun-filled, delicious weekend this Summer.

Bournemouth Air Festival - 29th – 31st August:

The UK's biggest air festival! Get down to the coast for some spectacular displays in the sky and on the ground. Featuring The Red Arrows, RAF Typhoon, Ultimate Warbirds and more!
