Call us barking mad, but we're now letting you bring your canine companions and feline friends on ANY new holiday booking, at no extra cost, when you book before the 31st March!

With a range of dog-friendly facilities across our parks, plus plenty of scenic places for 'walkies' locally, you might be surprised at how paw-fect a Shorefield holiday might be...

Dog-friendly facilities at our parks

At Oakdene Forest Park our enclosed indoor seating area within the main complex is ideal for any dog owner. Complete with complimentary doggy snacks and water bowls, it makes the ideal place to unwind with your four-legged friend. Enjoy a refreshing drink or warm up with some good food - just order at the bar as usual!

Alternatively, when the sun is shining, The Terrace makes the ideal place to enjoy some delicious food or a thirst-quenching drink in the company of your canine companion, whilst soaking up some rays at the same time... That's if you can drag them away from the fantastic woodland walks through the Hurn Forest, just on the doorstep of your accommodation and accessible directly from the park!

Meanwhile at Shorefield Country Park we have a range of facilities for pet owners. Our Milford Room is an indoor seating area where dogs are more than welcome. Just like our dog-friendly seating area at Oakdene, we’ll provide the water bowls and even a few dog biscuits for your furry friend. We just ask that any humans order their food and drinks at the bar!

If camping in the great outdoors is more your thing, Wilkworth Caravan Park in Dorset and Lytton Lawn Touring Park in Milford on Sea have a dog exercise paddock or dog walking field, respectively.

Local dog-friendly beaches and events

The miles of scenic coastline and New Forest landscapes on your doorstep make the ideal place for ‘walkies’, but if you’re looking for something a little different there’s always plenty going on locally to get those tails wagging.

In May Dogstival comes to Lymington with the spotlight well and truly on our pooches... With dog shows, display teams, K9 Aquasports and a vintage funfair, it’s no wonder they say that "if a dog could have the best day of its life, it would go to Dogstival!"

If your dog loves nothing more than a splash in the sea and feeling the sand between its paws, you're spoilt for choice with dog-friendly beaches throughout Dorset & the New Forest.

The following beaches allow dogs, making them the ideal place to visit during your stay:

• Milford on Sea Beach
• Bournemouth Beach - (Dogs can enjoy the beach freely from 1st October to the 30th April. Please note that dogs are restricted to certain areas from the 1st May and 30th September)
• Sandbanks - (Dogs permitted on the Western end of the beach to Haven Point)
• Swanage Beach - (Dogs can enjoy Swanage Beach from 1st October to the 30th April only. From the 1st May - 30th September pet owners are instead welcome to use 'Monkey Beach' which is located by the old stone quay, close to the pier).

We know that pets are part of the family too, so why would you want to leave them behind? It's just one of the reasons we welcome pets across all our parks. We'd like to think we know a thing or two about unforgettable escapes with your canine companion... We've even won awards for it!

Shorefield Country Park was recently awarded Silver for 'Dog-Friendly Business of the Year' at the Beautiful South Tourism Awards.

Pet-friendly accommodation and pitches

Designated units across all our range of self-catering accommodation have pet-friendly options. So whether you're looking for a cosy caravan escape with your furry friend, or a luxury hot tub retreat, there's sure to be something to suit you and your pooch.

We also allow pets at all our campsites and touring parks, so if you'd prefer to be in the great outdoors you can choose from our range of camping and touring pitches across the South Coast.

Simply search for your ideal escape using our Holiday Search as usual and add your pet onto the booking so we know they're coming and there will be no extra cost! (Usually £9 per pet, per night in our self-catering accommodation and up to £3 per pet, pet night on our camping & touring pitches).

Just be sure to book before the 31st March 2020, when this offer ends! Please note, this offer does not apply to existing bookings made before Wednesday 19th February.
