Shorefield Holidays Win Tourism Hero at UK Staycation Awards
Shorefield Holidays have achieved success in the Tourism Hero category at The itravel Staycation Awards 2020/21.
The Staycation Awards, hosted by inewspaper, celebrate the destinations that you enjoyed most throughout the past year and recognise the challenges, hard work and achievements of the hospitality industry during the pandemic.
Those who nominated were asked to submit their favourite destinations, venues and attractions in a range of categories. The Tourism Hero category recognises businesses who transformed their offering or helped support their local communities and frontline workers, even through unprecedented times. As a business we were commended on our commitment to providing free accommodation to NHS Keyworkers whilst our parks were forced to close, our donation of IT equipment and laptops to the Business2Schools initiative to support local children without the right technology for learning from home, as well as our Blue Light Discount.
With stunning countryside landscapes on the doorstep, our eight holiday parks make the ideal place for exploring the very best that the UK staycation has to offer. More and more of us are realising that we don't have to venture abroad for crystal clear seas, blue skies and sandy shores.
What's more, with the continued uncertainty of overseas travel, there has never been a better time to discover what a UK holiday is all about.
Over the past year we have been working hard to introduce a range of new COVID-safe procedures and social distancing measures, to make your staycation as safe as possible whilst safely offering as many facilities as we can. We are delighted that our eight holiday parks across Dorset and the New Forest have been recognised in these awards as a result of all our efforts and have loved being able to welcome all our guests and owners to our parks now that restrictions have begun to ease.
