Unmissable Summer Festivals & Events in Hampshire & Dorset

The sun is starting to shine through and the days are getting longer, that must mean Summer 2023 is just around the corner...So let's get right to it, here's our top recommended festivals and events across Dorset & Hampshire this summer!

Saturday 6th May: Coronation of King Charles

The whole country is set to get together to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles this year. We're no exception here at Shorefield Holidays as we've got plenty of festivities planned on parks to celebrate in style. From picnics and fun days to variety shows and party games you're in for a treat if you choose to stay with us for this historic weekend! See what's on using our entertainment calendar.

27th – 29th May: Christchurch Food Festival

A festival to celebrate all things food! Located on the side of Christchurch Quay in a picturesque location you can enjoy a bite to eat and watch live cooking classes and bands amongst many many food stalls.

3rd – 4th June: Dogstival

Dogstival returns for 2023 and is packed full of canine approved entertainment, with arena displays, heaps of ‘have a go’ activities with flyball, agility, the Barkour adventure playground and giant splash pools for dogs that love water. There’s great live music, bonkers street performers and a vintage funfair to keep humans happy across the weekend.

10th – 11th June: Highcliffe Food & Arts Festival

Set across both the high street of Highcliffe and the Recreation Ground, the festival is a celebration of the finest local produce, crafts and cooking. Look out for artisan stalls, fabulous street food, celebrity chefs, demonstrations, live music, children’s entertainment and activities.

14th – 16th July: Lymington Seafood Festival

A decadent festival of delicacies, featuring around 300 different seafood specialities from around the coastlines of The New Forest. It’s usually a popular event and this lovely little Georgian market town was planned long before cars came to be – so it might be a good idea to plan your travel without a car. Luckily, the X1 bus runs from just outside Shorefield Country Park to Lymington saving you the hassle of parking and navigating those tight cobbled streets! There’ll be top chefs, live music and entertainment for everyone!

21st – 23rd July: Milford on Sea Arts & Music Festival

The Milford on Sea Arts & Music Festival is back on Milford green and bigger than ever this year with loads of great music, food and entertainment, just a short walk away from Shorefield Country Park, we will see you there as we will be sponsoring this year's events!

25th – 27th July: The New Forest Show

The New Forest & Hampshire County Show is an annual three day agricultural Show held at the end of July, attracting around 95,000 visitors over the duration. A full range of equestrian, livestock including cattle and sheep, plus a poultry section, rabbits, cage birds will all be there. Wander around the fantastic trade stands, pick up treats for your dogs, brilliant equipment for your horses, clothes & accessories, homeware and some of our delicious local food and drink!

This year we will be there showcasing one of our brand new units, come and say hello and see for yourself what it could be like to own a holiday home in the beautiful New Forest!

27th – 30th July: Camp Bestival

One of the biggest and best festivals in the south, Camp Bestival has everything from comedians and kids activities to big name live acts. With this much variety on offer, everyone will have a good time!

The festival takes place on the grounds of Lulworth Castle, just a 30 minute drive from Swanage Coastal Park. Weekend and day tickets are still available – so why not make a family trip to Camp Bestival part of your Shorefield holiday?

5th – 6th August: New Forest Food Festival

Rich in local produce, artisan foodies and makers, internationally-renowned chefs and restaurants, unique skills and intricate crafts – this is the fantastic New Forest. And we’re bringing it all together across one fun-filled, delicious weekend this Summer.
