Shorefield Complex Refurbishments

Dear Shorefield Country Park Ambassadors

We are delighted to announce that we will be carrying out a full refurbishment of the Tides Bar & Restaurant, the Showbar and moving the kitchens over this winter. There will be more seating in future and more outdoor areas. This means that as of 28 October 2022, the Club Facilities will be closed until 06 April 2023 to allow us to carry out this work. The Spa will be converted to a bar and open from 17.00 on 28th October. We apologise that we cannot open during that day, as we will be moving the furniture around.

We want to reassure you all and can confirm that the costs involved will NOT BE added to future pitch fees.

This project has been a long time coming. It has taken many months for us to be able to plan and obtain quotes. We understand that this is a short notice period, and we apologise for this, but working with contractors to be able to quote and guarantee timescales for this work, has meant delays.

What this means to you our Ambassadors at Shorefield, is that during this period, the swimming pool and gym will remain open as normal, and the Spa will be moved to a lodge on park so that treatments may continue peacefully away from the building noise. We will operate a bar, coffee, tea and limited food service upstairs in the former Spa area, renamed High Tides Bar, which will be open every day from midday while the rest of the club is closed (except for Christmas and Boxing Day).

We shall be welcoming your 4-legged canine friends as well. We will have a varied takeaway /delivery service available during this time. Orders for delivery should be placed by calling 01590 648349. Children’s activities like the Sand Art and Slime School will still be available to book. In the evening, the characters will be making an appearance for a photo, or they may stay for a story, followed by Bingo, a quiz and cabaret, on selected nights with one of our team.

For New Year’s Eve there will also be a coach service to Oakdene for those wishing to celebrate together. This will be bookable on a first come first served basis. To ensure that we have commitment from those people who book tickets, a non-refundable deposit of £25 per head will be required. This will get credited to your loyalty account on collection of the tickets at Oakdene on New Year’s Eve. There will be a coach service to see the Panto at Oakdene. Date and time to follow. We will keep you all up to date with the progress of the refurbishment, as it progresses.
