Park Closure Dates - Shorefield Country Park, Downton Holiday Park, New Forest Lodge Retreat

It’s that time of the year when you’re getting ready to pack down your holiday homes for the winter closure period.

Shorefield Country Park will close for the season at 4pm on Friday the 5th of January 2024 and will reopen again at 10am on the 10th of February 2024.

New Forest Lodge Retreat is open from February 1st to December 31st. The closed period is from January 1st to January 31st.

Downton Holiday Park is open from 1st March to 31st October. The closed period is from 1st November to 29th February.

For new site licences issued by Shorefield Holidays Ltd, there is an extended season from 10th February to 5th January, the closed season is 6th January to 9th February (please consult your site licence agreement, which clearly confirms the length the season).

You are welcome to visit your holiday homes for the purpose of carrying out any maintenance and refurbishment works during these dates, but only between the hours of 10am and 4pm. Please make reception aware when you arrive and depart on the days that you are visiting your holiday home.

Please remember to empty your fridges and freezers and when turned off remember to place a towel under the fridge/freezer door which we recommend you leave open.

Don’t forget to leave a bowl of salt in your holiday home to help reduce condensation.

As part of our park operator’s licence, our wardens will carry out park patrols to ensure that nobody is on park after 4pm so as not to cause any breaches. As all homes should be unoccupied it helps the wardens to ensure the parks security and safety by flagging up anyone that should not be on park.

May I also remind you that you are not permitted to leave any vehicles on park during the closure period.
