The tour is a totally unique way to explore the area and the on-board commentary brings the journey to life, giving you all the information you'd need to know about the history and characters of the New Forest.
The New Forest Tour will run from Saturday 01 July to Sunday 17 September, so make sure you're on board for the green way to explore the forest.
There are 3 routes that the New Forest Tour takes, all providing a unique journey through different parts of the National Park. Jump on board outside Shorefield Country Park, which forms part of the Blue Route, to easily access the wonders of the New Forest without the worry of navigating through traffic or finding somewhere to park.
The Green Route - Makes a journey through the idyllic woodland scenes in the south of the forest before stopping at the beautiful Exbury Gardens. The tour then makes its way onto Beaulieu National Motor Museum. This route also links you to Hythe and Southampton with stops at popular destinations such as Lymington, Brockenhurst and Lyndhurst.
The Red Route - Takes you through the more open landscapes of the forest and makes its way through Burley, where you can sample some tasty treats at Burley Fudge, before heading on to the market town of Ringwood. There's also chance to stop of at Longdown Activity Farm and the New Forest Wildlife Park, other stop-offs include Godshill, Ashurst, Lyndhurst, Ringwood and Fordingbridge.
The Blue Route - Brings you along the scenic seaside and makes its journey past The Sammy Miller Museum, great for any motorbike enthusiast, before eventually heading back to Shorefield Country Park at Milford on Sea where you can relax in comfort in your very own lodge or caravan after a fun-filled day. Other great locations on this route include the coastal village of Keyhaven, Burley and Barton-on-Sea.
One ticket allows you to travel everywhere. If you plan your day, you can experience all three routes in one day, hopping on and off along the way. Or, if you prefer, you can remain on the same route without changing. You choose! A complete route lasts approx. 2hrs.
There's also a great range of cycle routes in the New Forest, so if you're keen to explore on two wheels you can even bring your bicycle on board at no additional cost and hop on and off at different stops, making it great for the environment. The tour is also great for the local community, reducing traffic and encouraging people to leave their cars at home. You're also welcome to take your dog on board! Remember to bring something to protect you from the sun and an extra layer as it can be breezy as well as exhilarating on the top deck!
Tickets can be purchased when you board on the day from the driver, in advance online and you can even view the timetable online, so you know exactly when the tour departs from our park and plan your day in advance.
