Swanage Coastal Park Recognised at Dorset Tourism Awards

Located in the stunning Dorset countryside, Swanage Coastal Park is lucky to be in an enviable location on the South Coast. We are thrilled that the park has been recognised at this year's Dorset Tourism Awards, achieving Bronze status for Holiday Park of the Year.

In what has been an extraordinary year for tourism, the awards are the culmination of an 11 month programme to asses the offering and standards of nominees throughout the Dorset region.

Lesley Lawrence, Marketing Director at Shorefield Holidays said: "We are absolutely thrilled to have been recognised for our ongoing efforts to provide safe and outstanding holidays. Our contactless check-in is just one of the new procedures we've introduced this past year for added guest reassurance and wellbeing, and has proved incredibly popular with those that have stayed with us".

Chair of the Judging Panel, Professor Peter Jones, added: “Dorset tourism, like tourism the world over, is demonstrating resilience and fortitude in coping with the impact and implications of Covid-19 in some amazing ways. Entrants demonstrated creativity and innovation, passion for the industry, and enthusiasm in providing a great experience for their customers in the most difficult of circumstances".

The park offers self-catering holiday accommodation as well as holiday homes for ownership and the hillside location grants the park incredible sea views across Swanage Bay and the surrounding Purbeck countryside.

There are deliberately no bustling entertainment venues or facilities on park, with the focus instead being on getting away from it all and exploring the scenic walks that are on offer in the stunning local area. It's not difficult to see why the park is so popular with guests and has earnt the Bronze certification at this year's awards.
