Your Wilksworth team have been busy saving the bees!
You will notice our 3 new wildflower beds in the lane starting to bloom over the next few weeks. We are creating these wilded areas of land to allow bees and pollinators to repopulate, keeping our park and land flourishing as well as playing a role in protecting our planet.
Our team found a lost bee in a bad way in one of our lodges, after a bit of sugar water and rest he was back on his way to pollinate our plants.
Bee fact: A single bee colony can pollinate 300 million flowers each day. It is important that they can do this because seventy of the top 100 human food crops — which supply about 90 percent of the world's nutrition — are pollinated by bees.
