You may have already seen that the indoor pool at Shorefield Country Park will be closed during the above dates due to essential works. We endeavour to ensure that changes to the services we offer are always communicated to all parties as effectively and efficiently as possible and apologise that some details of this closure may have been received third hand. Throughout the closure, the gym, changing rooms and reception area will remain open. Tides restaurant and the Showbar will also remain unaffected.
Works to be undertaken:
- Structural repairs to the roof
- Installing solar panels
- Pool surrounds acid washed
- Tiling re-grouted
- Replacing dehumidifier
- Installing new changing room flooring
We understand that completing these works whilst the park is open is far from ideal and we'd like to remind you that you are always welcome to use the facilities at Oakdene Forest Park. We are investing over £250,000 into the indoor pool at Shorefield Country Park and therefore want to ensure that we get the best specialists for the job. Unfortunately, this means that we are unable to carry out these works in house (whilst we are closed in January) and the soonest we can arrange for outside contractors is as scheduled in February.
The pool facilities are operational 364 days a year and there would never be a good time to close. We can only apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and hope you can understand the importance of completing the structural repairs to the roof to ensure the safe and continued operation of the facility.
If you have any queries regarding this pool closure please get in touch with the team on park.
