Meet The Team - Dan

My name is Dan, and you may have seen me around or met me during my time as the Gas Engineer Apprentice at Oakdene Forest Park. I also work across other Shorefield Holidays locations such as Forest Edge, Merley Court, and Wilksworth. Since joining Shorefield Holidays in August 2022, I’ve had an amazing experience, and I couldn’t be happier with the support and opportunities the company has provided me.

As a Gas Engineer Apprentice, my favourite part of the job is the constant learning. Each day offers something new, whether it's hands-on experience or gaining technical knowledge. It's exciting to know that by the new year of 2025, I'll be a Gas Safe Registered engineer, ready to take on my own work and continue helping to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests.

Before I found my calling in gas engineering, I worked as a window cleaner—a different challenge, but it taught me a lot about hard work and attention to detail.

When I'm not at work, you can usually find me kickboxing, going on long walks, or travelling to new places. If I had the opportunity to invite four celebrities to dinner, I’d choose Conor McGregor, Denzel Washington, Natalie Portman, and Megan Fox.

One of my favourite places near our sites is Milford on Sea. The scenic views and peaceful atmosphere make it a perfect spot for a quick getaway or a relaxing walk after a busy day.
