Lymington Sea Water Baths Set To Reopen
Based near Lymington Marina in the New Forest, Lymington Sea Water Baths is the perfect place to try out some kayaking, paddleboarding, zorbing and of course swimming. But everyone's favourite activity has got to be the inflatable fun, with 120 metres of inflatable obstacle courses to navigate!
The historic open air sea water pool is the oldest in the UK, dating back to 1833! Filled with sea water and measuring nearly the size of an Olympic swimming pool along the width, the baths are also the largest of their kind in the country.
The baths were known historically for their health giving waters and natural minerals, but the benefits of swimming in sea water are still held to this day.
Today, with such a range of different activities and fun for the whole family it is one of the lesser-known, yet most-loved attractions in the area.
The sea water pool underwent some restoration not long ago, with approximately £50,000 spent on renovations to refresh the membrane and lining of the pool.
What's more, the open air sea water pool is easy to get to from Shorefield Country Park, New Forest Lodge Retreat and Lytton Lawn, at just under a 15 minute drive away!
Lymington Sea Water Baths are open from Saturday 28th April to Sunday 9th September 2018. For more information on prices, opening times and how to get there, visit the Lymington Sea Water Baths website.
