October Half Term is one of our favourite times of year. As the leaves turn golden the stage is set for a fang-tastic array of Halloween events.
Pumpkin Picking
A traditional pastime that everyone enjoys, pumpkin picking is a must-do throughout autumn and Halloween. With plenty of 'Pick Your Own' farms throughout the New Forest and Dorset, this is a must-do for Halloween!
Where: Pumpkin Patch in Fordingbridge, Sunnyfields Farm in the New Forest, Sopley Farm in Christchurch
Halloween at Paultons Park | Thursday 12th October - Monday 30th October
Halloween at Paultons Park is a fang-tastic day out for everyone. This half term the spooky shenanigans include spooky wild west decorations in Tornado Springs, fancy dress competitions, over 10,000 pumpkins! There's even late night opening on selected dates so you can enjoy the rides in the dark, The Legend of Paultons Manor spooky show, plus you can meet Peppa and George in their eerie outfits too.

Halloween at Exbury Gardens | Monday 23rd - Sunday 29th October
Head down to Exbury Gardens for a frightfully good Halloween in the great outdoors. This year's activities include a gruesome garden trail, pumpkin carving, make your own spooky garden workshop and guest favourite the Exbury Ghost Train.

Halloween at Hurst Castle | Saturday 21st - Sunday 29th October
Muster up the courage and visit Hurst Castle this October half term. This fearsome fortress was prison to two unfortunates who were kept within its bleak walls – are you brave enough to descend deep into our basement to solve the clues and escape from our Prisoner of the Castle Ghost Maze?
Where: Hurst Castle, near Milford-on-Sea

Halloween at Oakdene Forest Park | 21st - 31st October
As always, there's a fantastic Halloween entertainment programme at Oakdene Forest Park.
We'll have daily activities to get involved with throughout half term, but if you're looking for fang-tastic themed events, like our Halloween Spooktacular Show and Woofs Phantomime Show, these will be taking place on Saturday 21st, Thursday 26th, Saturday 28thand of course 31st October.

Halloween at Shorefield Country Park | 21nd - 31st October
Of course, there's lots going on at Shorefield Country Park this Halloween too and the Entertainment Team always look forward to this time of year!
Spooky-themed activities mainly take place on Saturday 21st, Thursday 26th, Saturday 28th and of course 31st October with our Halloween Party, Family Pumpkin Carving Sessions, and Halloween Slime Making, so make sure you have a look at what we have got on, and book your place here!

Halloween at Lytton Lawn Touring Park | 28th October
Every year the Halloween festivities at Lytton Lawn are a highlight in our calendars. Join us on park for best-dressed competitions including best-dressed van/tent and best pumpkin carving, we will also have spooky games and a Halloween raffle! We'll have a food van on site with hot dogs, burgers and pizza!
So even if you've not got anything planned yet, don't miss a trick and treat yourself to a fantastic half term weekend break this October. There's so much going on at our parks and in the local area that the whole family is bound to have a wonderful time this Halloween.
