Changes to our pool bookings

You are no longer required to pre-book your swimming sessions at Oakdene Forest Park and Shorefield Country Park.

Dear Ambassadors,

After listening to you and our teams, we are making some changes to how you use the pools. From Saturday 7th August we will no longer be operating a pre-booking system for our swimming pools at Shorefield Country Park and Oakdene Forest Park and will instead be reverting back to how we would have operated pre-covid. This is through a banded system allowing you the swim time of an hour before you will be asked to leave to allow someone else in.

From Saturday, please head to your pool of choice at the time you wish to swim and wait for a band to gain entry.

We still have your safety as our priority and that’s why we’ll be staggering the entrance of swimmers with 15-minute intervals to avoid congestion in the changing rooms and keep queues to a minimum.

Pools at Merley Court Holiday Park and Wilksworth Caravan Park, as well as sessions for our gyms, sports courts and fitness classes across all parks will remain pre-booked online or through the app in the same way it currently is.

We hope that removing the booking system will eradicate the hassle of having to check for availability and find a session, as well as making it fairer for everyone to get a chance in the pool!
