Keep the Summer Spirit Alive With a Shorefield Break This September

As the longer nights start to draw in, kids go back to school, and many return to their 9-5 routine, it’s tempting to feel a hint of the post-summer blues come September. Shorefield however, has the answer.

With a summer sale until the end of the month offering up to 40% off holidays, couples, friends and families (and pets) can enjoy a scenic British escape without breaking the bank.

And what better place to enjoy the (predicted!) warm September than the beautiful south coast? Shorefield’s parks are a perfect mini-break to close off the summer, located within easy reach of both the New Forest National Park and the tranquil beaches of the Jurassic Coast. Visitors will get to enjoy the serenity of the surrounding scenery at a great price - without the school holiday crowds!

With abundant parks and accommodation options available, there are a range of options to choose from. At Shorefield Country Park, bigger groups will enjoy our extraordinary treehouses, which look like they could have come straight out of a fairytale. The Silvertree and Coppertree come complete with a hot tub on the decking, an outdoor pizza oven and underfloor heating inside for warming up in cooler temperatures.

For wider exploring, the New Forest also has so much to offer at this time of year - you can visit the largest, most famous Knightwood Oak tree, with access to over 140 miles of other footpaths and tracks. Keep a close eye out for ponies roaming around the area, as you may spot them grazing in their natural habitat!

Whether you’re more of a walking boots on, long distance hiker or simply fancy a laid back stroll to admire the natural scenery, Shorefield is a great base from which to discover the destination.

With September still offering sunny spells, it’s still usually a great month to get in some alfresco adventures. If walking isn’t your cup of tea but you don’t want to miss out on the beautiful landscapes, Forest Edge Park offers access to some fantastic bike rides. There is also a great play area to entertain the kids, whilst parents wind down and enjoy some relaxation time.

For those who are looking for something a little different - Wilksworth Caravan Park has a range of unique accommodation options. Choose from our luxurious Shepherd’s Huts or Tudor Rose House - a Grade 2 listed building once owned by Henry VIII and mentioned in the Doomsday Book. If you want to brave a swim, there are some incredible beaches just a short drive from the park including Lake Beach and Canford Cliffs Beach, both in Poole.

If the weather, however, is less than Mediterranean, young thrill seekers will love our range of fun Go Active+ activities available at Oakdene Forest Park. The wide range of sessions available on-site means there’s never a dull moment - from archery to crazy carts to body zorbing, there truly is something for everyone; a great way to spend an entertaining afternoon on a grey day if the beach is off the cards.

With the sale live until the end of the month, now is the time to book a last minute escape, lap up the last of the summer and squeeze in another staycation before the year is out!
