3 – 4 Aug: The Great Dorset Chilli Festival

Not everything’s spicy, so kids and the spice-averse can still enjoy the flavours on offer – everything from cheese and sausages, to ice cream and ginger beer. It takes place at St Giles House, just up the A31 and B3081 from our Oakdene and only a 15-minute drive from Wilksworth Caravan Park. Get tickets online to save!

10 – 11 Aug: New Forest Fairy Festival

Do you believe in fairies? Of course you do! And with good reason – there’s a whole festival devoted to fairies in The New Forest. Where else could this festival take place but Burley, home of the Forest Folk? Take walks, attend talks and hear songs by the fairies of the forest.

10 – 11 Aug: Lymington Seafood Festival

A decadent festival of delicacies, featuring around 300 different seafood specialities from around the coastlines of The New Forest. It’s usually a popular event and this lovely little Georgian market town was planned long before cars came to be – so it might be a good idea to plan your travel without a car.

Luckily, the X1 bus runs from just outside Shorefield Country Park to Lymington every half an hour, saving you the hassle of parking and navigating those tight cobbled streets! There’ll be top chefs, live music and best of all – it’s free to enter.

17 – 18 Aug: Winchester Cheese & Chilli Festival

Love cheese? How about chillies? Well, that’s exactly what you can expect at the Winchester Cheese & Chilli Festival! Enjoy everything chilli and cheese, and a whole lot more. There’s live music, magic shows, cooking demos and trade stalls – plenty to sink your teeth into throughout the day.
