Petition Against Proposed Gravel Extraction

Please support us in our appeal against the proposed development at: Downton Manor Farm Quarry, Milford on Sea.

Hampshire County Council has received an application for planning permission by New Milton Sand & Ballast Co. to adopt revised development, restoration plans and revised end dates to incorporate an extension to the quarry that borders our park.

As a Shorefield Country Park Holiday Home owner we are seeking your support by way of signing our online petition below, to stop the planning approval being granted for the extension of Downton Manor Farm Quarry to extract Sand and Gravel, being made by the New Milton Sand and Ballast company on land immediately adjacent to Shorefield Country Park.

The full planning application is registered with Hampshire County Council, no:17/11406, and a summary can be viewed on the planning portal here.

Shorefield Holidays Limited funded DAMAGE (Downton and Milford against Gravel Extraction), the local opposition to the original scheme at appeal which we won before it was overturned by the High Court and planning permission granted. We are concerned that this extension to the quarry extraction could have an adverse effect on all our guests enjoyment when staying at Shorefield Country Park, as the extraction will be adjacent to the boundary of the park.

We therefore seek your support, by submitting your details below, in objecting to this planning application.
