The park is often described as a peaceful and rural retreat and is also ideally located for holiday makers who want to be near the New Forest attractions and also benefit by being close to tourist attractions in Ringwood and seaside town of Bournemouth. In every direction you can explore nature reserves, country parks and Forestry Commission land. There are plenty of lovely walks and cycle trails leading straight off the park as the park backs onto the Avon Forest.
Oakdene Forest Park is often described as being an ideal site for families, especially those with young children, with great on-site facilities, kids entertainment and special event activities ie: Halloween, Christmas/New Year and Easter. - please note that New Years Eve party is a chargeable ticketed event. On the park you can enjoy indoor and outdoor pools with flume, steam room and sauna and a fully equipped gym. You can also relax in the evening with family entertainment in a large, modern clubhouse . The Oakdene complex also offers a Bistro style eating area. Self catering accommodation at Oakdene Forest Park, St. Leonards, Hampshire
Along with tent pitches in the summer months at Oakdene Forest Park we offer our guests the choice of staying in one of our holiday caravans or one of our Rhododendron luxury lodges which include bath and Hot Tubs. Caravan accommodation at Oakdene sleeps from 4 to 6 people (some have bunk beds), our Timber clad luxury lodges sleep with 4, 6 or 8 and include double and twin bedded rooms, and a hot tub on the decking. For 2010 there is a brand new 8 berth lodge with hot tub and sauna.
All of our self catering accommodation is fully equipped and selected caravans & lodges welcome pets. All mod cons are provided including full size cooker, fridge, crockery, cutlery, TV, and FREE electricity (and gas where applicable). Bed linen is provided and in luxury and standard accommodation the beds will be made ready for your arrival. All you need to bring are towels and tea towels. The self catering caravans vary with regard to size, layout and interior decor as there are a number of manufacturers and models available. All the caravans have the specification as detailed, although some have extras. Therefore it is often the case that caravans of the same category name are not identical. Please note that all units are non smoking. We also have a specially adapted wheelchair access luxury caravan available for hire.

Please note these are basic camping pitches for tents only, with no electric hookup but with access to portaloos and showers. They are approximately 10 minutes walk from the main Clubhouse at Oakdene.

In association with CTC Charitable Trust (a Cycling Charity), The Forestry Commission and Hoseasons Holidays. We will be offering a combination of cycling sessions, including orienteering rides, bikeability sessions, nature trail rides, family bike rides and bike maintenance sessions, all within the idyllic setting of Hurn Forest.

All of the scheduled activities are run and hosted by a fully qualified Cycling Development Officer and are designed for all levels and standards of cyclists. It is hoped that these activities will positively introduce cycling to those who would not normally consider it as an activity and hope that they continue to cycle when they get back home.
