One of Britain’s most majestic and romantic ruins, the castle was a royal fortress for over 600 years. Dorset’s iconic medieval monument overlooks the lovely village of the same name.

Wareham is a historic town which has a farmers market on Thursdays and Saturdays. Or visit the County Town of Dorchester, steeped in history and home to several unusual museums.

Stretching for 95 miles, the Jurassic Coast is England’s first natural World Heritage Site, showcasing the Earth’s history over the past 250 million years. The easy to follow South West Coastal Path also has circular links making shorter walks possible.
The only place in the world you can walk through a colony of nesting mute swans. This unique natural wildlife habitat also features a giant Swan Maze, licensed Café and Gift Shop. From May 15th until June 30th the cygnets will be hatching - get close up to baby swans.

Hours of fun for all the family in any weather with trampolines, pedal tractors, crazy golf and many animals to meet and greet.
Bringing the history of tanks and tank crew to life, the tank Museum is the world’s largest collection of tanks and action packed displays. The weekend of 23/24 June 2012 sees a very special event. Nearly 100 WWII vehicles will drive through Dorchester and back to the museum in the largest re-enactment ever of D-Day preparations.
Enjoy walks around this magical pool, famous for its ever changing colours. The Pool is surrounded by 25 acres of heath, woodland and gorse interlaced with sandy paths that seem to take you to another world.
