- What is the minimum age to use the gym?

Anyone using the Gym at Oakdene Forest Park must be 16 or over. At Shorefield Country Park 15 year olds are welcome to use the Cardio vascular equipment, but only under adult supervision.
- Are there any adult only swim times?

Oakdene Forest Park:
Adult only swim times run Monday to Sunday from 7.00am-9am and 9pm– 9.45pm daily at Oakdene Forest Park.
Shorefield Country Park:
Adult only swim times run Monday to Friday from 7.30am-9am and 9pm– 9.45pm daily at Shorefield Country Park.
- When are the outdoor pools open?

The outdoor pool is open every day from Spring Bank Holiday in May through to the beginning of September – weather permitting. Opening times 10am – 6pm (closing 2-3pm daily at Oakdene only)
- Can anyone use your Health & Fitness facilities?

The Health & Fitness Clubs are exclusive to Shorefield Holidays and offer a members-only experience with holiday makers also permitted to use the facilities.
- Can I use the licensed club and the other facilities on park?

We encourage use of the Licensed Club to get the most out of the facilities; entertainment is on offer for the whole family as well as fun activities for children of all ages during the holiday season.
You can also make use of the tennis court, astro turf football court and our crazy golf, however there is a charge for these facilities. Shorefield also has a fantastic Reflections Elemis Day Spa which offers discounts to our members
- How can members pay for their membership?

You can pay the yearly membership fee as either one single payment or in monthly direct debit instalments (these are taken on the first of each month). All prices are reviewed annually on the 1st of February and we have a variety of membership types available to suit your requirements.
- How can I give feedback?

We actively encourage feedback either by use of the feedback box or comments cards available in the gym; alternatively a customer care form can be completed at reception. All comments are logged and where necessary, responded to asap.

We open year round, even Christmas Day although operating times are slightly reduced during the festive period.
- Do all your Health and Fitness clubs offer Power Plate machines?

Shorefield has two fabulous power plates included in your membership. Oakdene do not currently have power plates but if you are a member at Oakdene then use of the facilities at Shorefield is available to you free of charge
- I am a regular gym user – do I need a gym induction at this gym / how do I book?

We require all guests to carry out a gym induction so that we can check on your fitness level, medical history and prior experience before you begin to use the fitness rooms. These are free for members and you can book with reception. Inductions are £2.50 for holiday makers at Shorefield and £2.00 at Oakdene, plus an additional £2.50 if you wish to use the power plates at Shorefield
- What qualifications do your Personal Trainers have?

All our Gym Instructors are fully qualified ranging from Level 2 Fitness Instructor to Level 3 Personal Trainer.
- Are all the classes free of charge?

Most classes are free, with the exception of Yoga, Legs Bums & Tums and Aqua Aerobics where a preferential rate is offered to our members.
- Do members have to book classes in advance?

Some classes have limited space so it’s best to contact the Health & Fitness Club or Reception ahead of attending to make sure the session is not full.
- If I belong to the Heart clinic can I still use your gym?

If you are rehabilitating and have been recommended to carry out gentle cardio vascular exercise then a doctor’s note of recommendation would be requested
- What is the minimum age to use the pool?

Children must be 10 years and older or able to use the swimming pools without the supervision of an adult. Any child under 10 must be accompanied by a responsible adult who is 16 or over. A maximum of 3 children per adult is permitted in the pool for health and safety reasons.
- Are under 16s allowed in the Sauna , Steam Room and Jacuzzi?
