Careers FAQ

  • I can’t download the Application Form – how can I apply for a job?

Call us on 01590 648374 and we’ll send you one in the post; alternatively pop into any one of our parks and collect one from reception.

Can I submit my CV rather than completing an Application Form?

No, we do require that you complete an application form – this is the document we use to decide if we wish to interview someone. Having a fully completed application form helps to ensure that we get all the information we require to make an informed decision.

Can I email you my application form?

You’re welcome to scan your completed application form and email it to vacancies@shorefield.co.uk.

Why do I need to supply my national insurance number?

As every person's national insurance number is unique, supplying this identifies you as a unique individual on our records. A lot of people apply for jobs with us, and some share the same names; it's important that we can tell the difference between applicants.

I want to register my interest in forthcoming positions, but I don’t have a national insurance number – what can I do?

If you don’t have a national insurance number, you won’t be able to use that particular service. Instead, we recommend keeping an eye on the vacancy list on our Careers page, as this is updated as soon as vacancies become available.

Who can I give as a referee?

We require contact details for three referees from all applicants. They cannot be related to you or be a current employee of Shorefield Holidays. One referee should be your present or most recent employer, unless you have not been employed before. One referee could be a school/college tutor if relevant. The rest can be a combination of personal referees and previous employers. A personal referee could be a family friend or similar.

What are the differences between the types of contract?

    These are as follows:

    • Casual: Open ended, zero hours* contract.
    • Seasonal: Contract with a specified end date, either zero hours* or with contracted hours.
    • Permanent: Open ended contract with contracted hours.

*Zero hours means that there are no guaranteed working hours – working days and hours may change on a weekly basis, but advance notice of this will be given.

Do you offer accommodation with any of your vacancies?

We only offer accommodation with certain vacancies. Where this is the case, it will be noted in the details for the vacancy. If there is no mention of accommodation on the vacancy details, accommodation is not provided with it.
